Accessibility

Good practice

"The project area of Archimede Library proposes many topics, from disability to accessibility and sustainability, and it combines its educational and cultural work with the work of other collaborating organizations.
For example ""Libro Parlato Lions"" is a service that provides audiobooks to visually impaired people. Archimede is a library that also wants to arise as ""bridge"" for the inclusion of all.

There isn't a limit to the people involved. Everyone can take advantage of the materials and tools provided by the library. People with disabilities can receive a priority help, but the materials collected in the library and the collaborations with other organizations (for example, SBAM - Metropolitan Area Library System) are available for all."

Costs

"The cost is the same as for all the libraries: free for citizens becuase it's a service paid by the municipality.
Moreover, the website of the library is a real source of all the specific services according to the needs and interests of each person."

Starting date of the good practice

From 2010, when both the library and the multimedia center could start their collaboration and celebrate their union in the actual building in Settimo Torinese.
