Chitalishte "Otets Paisiy-1896" is a major cultural and educational institution in the town of Sozopol. The Chitalishte develops a rich cultural-educational, library-bibliographic and artistic-creative activity. About 200 amateurs, including people with disabilities, participate in the club forms and compositions of it. The following club forms and ensembles function - for adults: folk dance ensemble; a group for old city songs; a group for pop songs; folklore group, theatrical ensemble, etc., for children: children's dance folklore ensemble; vocal group; individual performers, school for modern ballet, school of fine arts; music school - Piano class; music school - class "Guitar" and others

Pieces @ rt "is a project for digitization of some of the special collections of libraries and Art Gallery - Burgas, not shown on the Internet. The main criterion for selection of materials is their local and national cultural significance. Their presentation on a separate website makes it possible to use them as part of the world cultural heritage.Musical and artistic works, postcards, documentaries will be digitized.The project is aimed at people with professional or personal interests in the field of art, people outside the city, people with disabilities, other libraries, cultural and educational institutions and NGOs.The painting category, for example, contains digital copies of paintings from the collections of the project participants.
Each picture is accompanied by information about the author, title, year of creation, material, technique and ownership.
The "Browse" button on the right allows you to see the image in a larger size. Clicking on an author and title opens a new window in which you can view the enlarged picture. This allows for a more in-depth look at the smallest details of it.In the categories Classical music (202 recordings available), Folk music (60 available recordings) can be freely accessed by users.With the realization of "Pieces @ rt" a new e-service is created: e-library, which presents parts of collections, outside the library space, in real and convenient time for each user. Libraries make their collections fully "open" and accessible to the widest possible range of users, especially people with disabilities.

What are the benefits of the project ?

I am a disabled person, which greatly limits my social life and my meetings with people. In the group I visit in the community center for old city songs they showed us a site where we can freely listen to old, classical and folk performances and this helps me even more to have a glimpse of the art I like.

What were the constraints faced by the company ?

In my opinion, the main problem is that in our country there is no serious policy for the cultural life of people with disabilities. This project is one of the few ways I know to have access to information that meets our personal interests

Which advice would give to another company ?

I would appeal to all small and large community centers to inform, to show people with disabilities how to even virtually enjoy parts of cultural life, but not only in the country but also abroad.

What are the next steps?

I would recommend that the sites be adapted for people with visual impairments. The letters of most are very small, the contrast is low and this makes it very difficult to view everything on the site.
