Good practice
Deaf clients and purchasers can find assistance thanks to the agreement of Decathlon with Veasyt: when deaf clients gets in the shop or has to do an online purchase, they can ask for linguistic support. VEASYT's professional video interpreting service in LIS provides in real time, via video call, an interpreter who supports the conversation between operator and deaf client, simultaneously translating everything that is said, from Italian to LIS and vice versa. A customer service accessible also to deaf people who use the Italian sign language (LIS) which can be activated at any time thanks to the remote video-interpreting of «VEASYT Live!». Decathlon is the first retail company in Italy to provide deaf customers with a totally inclusive customer assistance service, thanks to the possibility of contacting Decathlon customer service directly in LIS.
In order to use the service, the client has to select "LIS customer service" option from the customer service menu on the Decathlon website to instantly start the video call with the interpreter. The service is active from Monday to Friday, from 9 to 15.
