Description
MAUTO is the National Automobile Museum, founded in 1933 in Torino in order to exhibit historic cars. After second world war, Turin was a really active industrial factory city. One of the more developped business was the automotive.
MAUTO today is a permanent exhibition path that houses an impressive collection: about 150 cars.
Digital activity
MAUTO is an interesting museum that shows the history and the evolution of cars. Torino is the city where Fiat cars were born and was very important from the industrial automotive development. The museum is not a sad place were cars are collected, but it's really active and always proposes new way of presentation and explanation of its treasure! One of this is the digital activity that proposes an app: with the web - app, you can select the desired sign language and watch the marked and subtitled video for the section. Other are the QRcode use in order to connect to a link and the NCF technology.

Good practice
In collaboration with LAM Stile which donated 25 car models made of resin with exclusion technique and details made in 3D. Each reproduction can be explored with the hands and accompanied by audio descriptions, which can be activated by means of a relief QR-code and NFC technology (short-range communication) that tell information and curiosities about the individual cars, available in both Italian and English.
